Cluck, cluck: one year anniversary!

If I hadn’t marked it in my calendar, I would have forgotten that today, one year ago, marks the launch of Walks in Watercolor. To celebrate this special event and to thank my dear followers and anyone who happens on this blog, I painted some chickens and a rooster going about their daily routine of finding worms and other delicacies. Thank you for stopping by, it really means a lot to me. And I hope your artistic endeavours bring you lots of joy. — Laureen

    1. Jeff, that is so nice of you to say. I will definitely continue to paint. Sometimes we (I!) forget how important it is to pursue something that brings us joy. Busy schedules etc. shouldn’t get in the way. My goal for this year is just to keep at it, maybe sketch some more when out in nature. Wishing you lots of happy painting moments and looking forward to your next post.

      1. Oh, yes, lots of fun! I have so many different things to try that I can’t find time for them all. Mostly I’m focusing on graphite right now and practicing with ink in anticipation of Inktober coming up next month. After that, I hope to get back to oil painting, working from some of the photos I’ve taken. I love autumn colors. ๐Ÿ™‚
